Rhinoplasty performed at our Kansas City, Missouri plastic surgery center refines the shape of the nose in a number of different ways – straightening, removing bumps, reshaping the tip, or reducing projection or length. Rhinoplasty can make a nose larger or smaller, refine the shape of the bridge, tip, or nostrils, and correct for crookedness, injuries, and breathing abnormalities that arise due to problems with the internal structures of the nose.
Blepharoplasty, also known as an eyelid lift, is surgery performed around the eye area that results in a more youthful looking, attractive appearance. For some patients, blepharoplasty is only needed on the upper eyelids, or only on the lower eyelids. Other patients may require both upper and lower blepharoplasty procedures to achieve their desired results.
Facelift is a surgical procedure performed to tighten the lower face and neck. Sun exposure, weight fluctuation, and the natural aging process make skin loosen and sag, resulting in wrinkles and jowls. Aging also reduces certain areas of fat, such as on the sides of the chin and over the lateral cheek bone area; in other areas there is an increase of fat, such as under the chin (neck), jowls and along the nasolabial fold. These changes are addressed with a facelift.
If the skin under your chin or on your neck has begun to slacken or sag, you might be a good candidate for a neck lift. Neck lift, performed at our Kansas City, Missouri, cosmetic surgery center, is a surgical method of removing excess fat and surplus skin from the neck and chin areas, and carefully lifting and tightening the remaining skin and underlying muscles. This procedure can reduce or eliminate the undesirable “turkey neck” look, and leaves your skin taught and toned.
ThermiRF uses a needle size probe placed in the subcutaneous tissues and dermis which emits a radio frequency causing heating of the deeper aspects of skin. This heating causes a change in the collagen structure of the skin and over a two to six month period, this collagen is replaced with new collagen. This refurbishing of collagen, the structural element of skin and other tissues, will slowly tighten skin. ThermiRF initiates the biologic events but the individual's physiology completes the process. There is great variation between humans regarding healing and collagen production. Some people produce collagen rapidly and other may not. Therefore the effectiveness of the ThermiRF is variable and not totally predictable and the response may vary from a very subtle change to a more dramatic improvement. Since your biology is not completely predictable, we cannot guarantee results.
A natural volume restoring material is your own fat. Moving fat from an area of excess to areas of needs has been done since 1897. Fat grafting to the face seems to improve the overlying skin appearance, perhaps due to stem cells which are found in fat. Fat grafting is used in the face, buttocks, and breast.
Chin implants, prosthetic forms surgically placed in the chin, can improve the contour of the face and give more definition to its middle and lower portions, bringing facial features into better proportion, harmony, and balance. A strong chin can build your confidence and self-esteem.
